The OLYMPICS

For every 4 years we have the Olympics
England is the winner for the 2012 gig
Sadly is not even 24 hours break
We already had news about a huge shake
Thought it was earthquake
But is not, someone is playing serious trickz
Bombing the England subway as the clock starts to tick
This got the World wide awake
Questioning “Is this what we have to take???”

Tony Blair definitely wants to make sure no mistakez
Unfortunately, no one can undertake
We can only pray, hope someone up there can give us a break
And save us from all these aches

HOT JOB

My frenz always talk about how easy to find hot jobs in JobsDB
Bob found one in NYC, others like me still fishing in the big blue sea
I don’t want to be a hippy
Is just sometimes people don’t see
Tat’z why I gotta explain it here

Previous jobs I had were considered hot among majority
But they really have no idea how boring some can be
Like filing and searching a paper thru the exam library
Is totally machinery & tat’z how I came up with da nickname VacuousZombie
The latest job offer I took was a total surprise for me
Who would have thought working for such a big company
Would made me so angry & full of animosity

Here’s a summary to what I wrote in my CX survivor diary:

CX selected all the hotshots around the block
They brain-washed us with those SSFTH talk &
Trained us intensively before we do any mock
Guess what!
None of the stuff learnt can be applied on the job
Coz we were all brought up by that SSFTH talk &
None were used to beating the deadline on the clock
As a result we all got shot right on the spot &
I ain’t any average Bob, so I did another job hop
And here I am preaching to y’all not to take that job
If u do, better go buy urself a big cross

Overall, 99.9% of the jobz are for robotz
Most work U like a groundhog
Some even makes U run like a dog
At the end of da day, U’ll eat like a hog &
At the end of da month, 10 dollars is what U got &
Is not even enough to buy some pork chop
Man, I question “How is one suppose to take off?” &
Wonder “When can one put the vicious cycle to a stop?”
These questions really worth a daily thought
Meanwhile I’ll keep writing more in my BLOG
So as to update U on What’z HOT & What’z Not

THE LOK FAMILY TRILOGY PART III - IAN THE YODI

Now comes the person whom I respect greatly & love so dearly
His name is IAN LOK and is easy to save his name in memory
As a kid he already took on all the responsibilityz
He looked after me while our parents were busy
Due to the fact that he is the first born of the family
He sometimes has to face harsh situation personally

At the age when he needed to enter the primary
My parents expected him to enter La Salle eagerly
He did and studied until he reached secondary
Tat’z 1989, when China didn’t care much about humanity &
My grandma suggested him to go Canada to continue his study
One day he came back looking all sporty
And tat was only midway towards his twenty

I think 2 years after his return to da home country
Our family packed our bags and get ready
For another expedition that ended up costly
Once again my bro settled in Canada for another 2 years consecutively
Thinking that we gonna stay there & enjoy the nice scenery
Unfortunately after some time, my dad decided that’z not where he wanted to be
So off again my brother has to come home with his entire family &
Tat’z almost the time he needed to enter University

He managed to gather his strength and maintain a positive & tough mentality
To overcome every obstacle with his amazing ability
During those years he concentrated on his study
And cared about nothing that would have made him worry
He finally entered Simon Fraser University
Where he graduated with his English Degree & along da way he met his destiny
Like the title of the song sang by Britney
“Hit Me Baby One More Time” He returned to his home country &
Go into HKU to continue with his study for a Master & a PHD
Emphasizing on World Englishes & the Postcolonial Being plus all sorts of literary theoryz

All Along he’s been searching and looking for his identity
Imagine a person being educated on and off in 2 different countryz &
Having to live, survive & explore on his own entirely
I bet he did feel lonely but I am sure he didn’t feel empty
I have to give him credit coz it really ain’t easy
It takes stamina and determination like ROCKY
In order to be a PIONEER

THE LOK FAMILY TRILOGY PART II - JOBIE-Wan Kenobi

Part II is dedicated to my cousin Jobie
When he was small he always puts on a smiley
Since he’s the only child in his family
He stole his parents attention completely
His parents are determined to look after him closely
From school to girl friendz they have to investigate accordingly
They always took everything so competitively & seriously
His parents first ambition was to get him into La Salle cause of its publicity
Though he didn’t get in, he got into DBS as his second priority

His family loves him dearly
Especially his mommy
She wouldn’t want to let him go easily &
For years she treated him like a baby
Even after he grew up, he still acts a little sissy
I wonder if he has grown up entirely???

But I have to admit he’s quite talented musically
Graduated with two majors one in Biology &
Another in music how pretty
Thought those were handy?
Nah…that only helped partially
Now he works in a financial agency &
Still lives with his family
Tat’z what I call lovely

One last thing I have to say about Jobie
Is his way of dealing with embarrassing situation & frenzy
He can always maintain his carefree attitude and ignore completely
Tat’z something to learn in order to be happy &
I mean it. Really.

THE LOK FAMILY TRILOGY

I was born in the LOK family
My grandparents originated from the Shanghai City
Though my grandpa is flirty & kind of horny,
We still manage to have only one granny
She said after 18 years of being lonely
They finally met by serendipity
And gave birth to 4 babies
Tat’z how I got 1 uncle and 2 auntyz plus my Daddy
They all lived in different countryz
Except for my small aunty who lives right above me

Continue on with my grand parents' HIS - TORY
In 19**, they decided to come to HK for safety and security
My grandpa is a seaman so as my uncle and my Daddy
The three of them set sail across the oceans regularly
To do some logistics and delivery
Until one year, my grandpa decided to retire and quit entirely
Cause he gets weary? ….hum……..Maybe
& That was during his mid fifties

After working for his Daddy,
My uncle went on to study in an overseas university
The tuition is expensive and he had no money
Therefore he worked in a casino to get some salary
Soon after he graduated with distinctions and worked for a good company
He then took on the responsibility as the first born of the family
Applied his parents to go overseas to visit the Mountie &
Off the two oldies to a new city and a bigger country
Fortuitously, they had lived there happily though their English is so so only

Ok let’s go to My big aunty
In my mind she’s a dangerous lady
Got married to a childhood mate whom has been with her so closely
After a few years, they gave birth to my cousin and called him Jobie
I find the name abit funny but is OK as long as they think it’s lovely
And I think they do cause they always call Jobie “BABE”
Jobie’s parents both have an amazing ability to socialize actively &
Sure knows how to make connections easily
However the relationship always wound up badly
All becoz they treated others poorly & disrespectfully
They loved to use people freely & frequently
Regardless of whether they are poor or wealthy
Strive to utilize everyone to their advantage with every inch of possibility
Until the person flipped the table and confront them madly
Despite them being unfriendly, they always manage to find money
Strangely, they complain about no money constantly &
That really makes me fumy cause I am the one who’s living in poverty

As for my small aunty
She loves to wear sexy but I have to say she is crazy
Saved buckets of money in her bank annually
Still states she’s poor and continues to lack money
I question if is only the aunties who do that in my family
She calls up my brother occasionally
To do some inquiry on how to increase her property
Out of goodwill my brother took her to the Thai Monk to seek out the answer properly
There she was attracted to an amulet that claims to bring fortune & serenity &
It only costs less than two hundred fifty
Compare to her savings is just puny
Sadly, she’s way too stingy to even spare a little generosity
Don’t wantta give in order to take is such an irony
No wonder she categorize herself as “MO MONEY”
On & on she continues to carp and pray, craving to get rich immediately &
Would eat noodles daily or even starve entirely
I am surprised how she can withstand this life threatening tendency
Guess her only good quality is her ENDURABILITY

But…”What on earth is going on!???” I question insanely
Soldiers flying overseas to fight their imaginary enemyz
Millions don’t have a home & have nutrient deficiency
Some has one but without electricity
Citizens in some countries live with bullets flying around daily
I don’t mean to slate anybody intentionally
I just want them to wake up and smell the coffee
Open their eyes widely and look more closely
Coz many are suffering globally and continuously &
We are already better off than many bodyz
